Formal Publications
Through research conducted at the University of Sydney, Australia, a number of different publications were generated surrounding the role aesthetic plays in the usability of data visualizations. Not constrained to data visualization - these studies can be extended to any interactive (or offline) experience. How does percieved beauty affect our level of patience? To what effect does aesthetic design play in quantitative, timed tasks? The publications below begin to provide answers surrounding this question.
