NextBio : User Testing
NextBio contracted Gauge Design to do an assessment of their healthcare-centric search portal by conducting a series of usability interviews with academic participants. These sessions were designed to help NextBio discover their value proposition amongst the research and academic communities.

Stakeholder Interviews
NextBio wanted to improve their bounce rate off their homepage, as well as better communicate their core differentials to both academic and professional clients.
Heuristic Analysis
A best-of-practice heursitic analysis helped NextBio identify some 'quick wins' for some immediate usability improvements to their site.
Usability Testing
A dozen users were tested in a controlled setting, helping NextBio isolate misconceptions around their ideal mode of interaction, and what is taking place in reality.

How to label an Experiment vs. a Study vs. a Research Trial? These ubiqutous terms were explored in the usability sessions to help clarify NextBio's navigation scheme.

With a number of different permission levels on this site, the process flows helped understand different sections of the site and how they relate to one another.
Site Structure Diagrams
Sitemaps helped understand how big the NextBio site had become, helping to gain perspective on what the development plan was to be for them in the future.
