United Healthcare used these broker tools to enhance their value proposition as to why insurance brokers should shop their product to consumers. After months of regional user testing with both brokers and small business owners, a comprehensive set of development documents were produced.

Business Requirements
Having had experience with the United Quick Quote process, assistnace in the requirements were onsite in Conneticut

Discussion around the best process possible involved both agency and client - investing stakeholders in on the project to help build internal momentum.
Usability Testing
Formal usability sessions were conducted in six cities throughout the country. Over 200 small business owners and insurance brokers were interviewed.

Process Flows
Understanding the contingencies with each step of the health plan selection process helped improve the efficiency of the greater project by identifying issues early.
Site Structure Diagrams
This tool was designed to fit into the larger site of United's broker portal. Designing effective cross-linking allowed for faster access in and out of the application.
UX Wireframes
With a rapid, working prototype being built directly from the wireframe deck, accuracy was crucial. This application was extremeley complex in the interaction model used for plan filtering.
